Overview

John Carter is a war-weary, former military captain who's inexplicably transported to the mysterious and exotic planet of Barsoom (Mars) and reluctantly becomes embroiled in an epic conflict. This movie couldn’t possibly stand up to the over-high expectations of a swath of rabid Edgar Rice Burroughs fans. But if you take all that away, it is a genuinely fun popcorn movie.
